INJURY UPDATE – CADENCE GUY

We’ve received a lot of messages and questions regarding Cadence following her match on Saturday at Duals on Desmond, and we wanted to share an update.

The good news is that nothing is broken. After further evaluation, it appears the injury involved a elbow dislocation, and Cadence will be undergoing an MRI and follow-up appointments with a shoulder/elbow specialist to determine the full extent of the injury and the best path forward.

Cadence and her family are incredibly grateful for the outpouring of support from the wrestling community. Your prayers, messages, and well wishes have meant a great deal during a stressful few days.

They would also like to extend a special thank you to Malaina Comfort. "Malaina was a tough, talented competitor who came ready to wrestle, and this unfortunate injury was simply part of the sport we all love. We appreciate the sportsmanship, concern, and respect shown throughout the situation."

Who knows… maybe we'll get to see a rematch next year. 👀🤼‍♀️

Please continue to keep Cadence in your thoughts as she begins the recovery process. We are wishing her a full and speedy recovery and look forward to seeing her back on the mat soon.
