HUG Camp is for pre-teens and teens where God Helps Us Grow memories and friendships that last forever! In addition to growing our relationship with God and each other, there are loads of activities to choose from, such as: archery, flag football, adventure course, wood working, volleyball, fun with science, dance, arts and crafts, tennis, ultimate frisbee, and much more. There’s plenty of beach time on our beautiful Lake Michigan beach with a shaving cream extravaganza on Friday afternoon for those who enjoy that kind of thing! Each evening is busy with camp-wide events including skit night, climbing Mt. Baldy, s’mores around the campfire, ice cream social, to name a few. HUG Camp is such an awesome experience that 2/3rds of our volunteer staff are former campers who love doing all that they can to ensure that our youth continue to enjoy camp for years to come! We definitely encourage campers to bring their friends too.

Camp is over and just as it may have been a difficult adjustment to go to camp, it may be difficult to transition back to everyday life. There's less noise and constant companionship of campers and counselors, less activities, and more screen time. There are steps to have your campers engage about the ins and outs of camp and camp friends, and stay connected. We hope to see them every summer to share our goal of Helping Us Grow.

I believe the last of the photos are posted. That might be a lie because there are some texts I have from other counselors with photos. The video has been update, sorry Lily. Your photo is updated at the end. We had tons of fun and now must sleep.

Sooo....I uploaded the camp slideshow to hugcamp.com. I will get the remainder of the pictures uploaded as soon as I can, Friday/Saturday-ish. There are lots of great photos still, but I run out of time.
What a great week.

They are amazing

Barb and Ernie have been volunteering at HUG camp for the last 5 years! They’re in the dining hall for every meal, and make the ice cream social extra special! We are so grateful!

Most of the Ice Cream Social photos are on my DSLR camera, but here’s a preview of what’s on my phone. The week was great. We’re all tired. See you on Friday.
