Sawyer Rural Fire Dept

We are seeing smoke columns👀 around the area - while we are thankful for the rain we received this morning, it was not nearly enough moisture to significantly change our drought conditions.

If you took the opportunity to burn grass or a brush pile this morning PLEASE go back and check it often this afternoon AND tomorrow
as the winds are supposed to pick up.
Thank you!

A huge THANK YOU to our volunteers and the tremendous support from Pratt Co, Dispatch, Cullison, Township 12, Iuka, Pratt Co Sheriff, Pratt Co. EMS, and KHP on the grass fire 3 miles north of Sawyer today - we couldn't have done it without you!

Fighting fire... or fighting fellow fire fighters 🤔😂
A good splash of water would feel good on a day like this!
