The issue includes contributions and conversations with artists, writers, and curators including Beryl Gilothwest, Melissa Messina, Erin Dunn, Allison Janae Hamilton, Mimi Plumb, Gregory J. Harris, Le’Andra LeSeur, Trelani Michelle, Lisa Jaye Young, Josh Aronson, Rachel Waldrop, and others.
The evening will also serve as a fundraiser for the Ossabaw Island Residency, a new ARTS Southeast program launching this October. Rooted in the legacy of the historic Ossabaw Island Project, the residency will bring artists to Ossabaw for a week of retreat, research, reflection, and place-based creative exploration.

In addition to the Ossabaw-centered issue of IMPACT, there are plenty of opportunities to support the launch of the Ossabaw Island Residency including a silent auction, with proceeds supporting the program.

Proceeds and contributions from the evening will support artist residents’ travel, lodging, meals, transportation, and logistical costs required to bring artists to Ossabaw Island for the inaugural OIR session.
