This band was one of a kind. The Army doesn't have bands like this today.

BILL BLACKSTOCK
I served in the Third Army Band twice! It was my first assignment after graduating from the Basic Course at the SOM. I arrived in April of ‘71 and was transferred to the 266th AB in Vietnam in July of ‘72. Four months later in November of ‘72 the war was winding down so the 266th was deactivated and the Army returned me to the Third AB. I left Ft. Mac for good in July of ‘73, but by then it was the 214th (FORSCOM) AB.
