THE ELEMENTS WITHIN

As occult practitioners we are well aware of the power of the Elements: Earth, Water, Fire, and Air, and of the ensouled Beings who represent the egregore and the cohesive mind of the elemental worlds.
We are also aware, but often on a much smaller scale, of those same elements existing within our physical bodies. With very rare exceptions, Elementals are not individualized, but exist in a form similar to a Hive, sharing a mental link. The Elemental “King” can therefore been likened to the Queen in a Hive.
Recognizing that these elements exist and have a part to play in physical life is part of the Mystery training. BUT, recognizing they exist on four levels as we do, is not explained in training. All carry traces of other elements, and have higher levels of being. Those other levels have energies that can be used in “magical“ ways.
For example, Earth. Manifested EARTH is a living part of us; what we eat gives impetus to our growth from birth and on throughout our lives.
Astral Earth is the idealized vision of Earth, the mythical Eden. The Earth as we dream it could be if there were no wars, conflict, or disease. Few realize that if Eden came about, humanity would stagnate, for it is through conflict and struggle we advance, strange as it may seem.
Mental Earth is aligned to mathematics, geometry, geology, and archaeology. It is Earth as it laid out in latitude and longitude, our concept of time, and the layers of growth that explain the ages long past.
Spiritual Earth is to be found in its destiny as the holder of intelligent life. It is seen in the way life has forced itself to face impossible odds to survive, adapt, and discover what lies beyond this planet. The desire to know what lies beyond Earth itself.
