The Dolphin Project

The Dolphin Project "Volunteers for Research, Conservation and Education" Retirees are especially welcome. Department of Commerce.

Schoolteachers, mechanics, soldiers, lawyers and people from many occupations have joined The Dolphin Project and participated in the research. TDP members do not swim with dolphin, feed them or touch them -- no unauthorized person should -- it is against the law. TDP non-invasive research is sanctioned by authority of a permit from the National Marine Fisheries Service, an agency of the U.S.

The Dolphin Project is a volunteer, non-profit, research organization dedicated to the protection of the estuarine Bottlenose dolphin on the Georgia and South Carolina coasts. TDP operates with a NMFS /NOAA permit to conduct Photo-ID dolphin surveys in the Estuary environment.
