I am so proud of the Divine Rest team of outreach volunteers and their continued dedication to serving women throughout our community!

Today, our volunteers gathered together to pray, break bread, and prepare a hot meal for the residents of Inner City Night Shelter. Because of their willing hearts and helping hands, 50 hot meals were served!

But our outreach is about more than providing a meal, it is also about creating opportunities for women to be seen, heard, encouraged, and reminded that they matter.

Each visit includes “The Inspired Conversation,” a safe space where women are invited to share openly and connect with one another. This month’s topic was PEACE, and once again, the conversation was warmly received.

I am especially grateful for the way our volunteers continue to touch the hearts of women in both personal and spiritual ways. They don’t simply show up to serve, they show up with compassion, prayer, encouragement, and love.

They are true servants in every sense of the word, and I thank God for each one of them!

Divine Rest Cares because every woman deserves to know she is seen, valued, and loved.

Today, we pause to celebrate and honor our incredible Community Outreach Director, Lilly Pearl Crook! 💜

On Monday, Lilly faithfully served dinner to the residents at Parker’s House, and today she’s at Union Mission’s new Resource Center helping with laundry for our unhoused neighbors. Her willingness to serve wherever there is a need is a beautiful reflection of the heart of Divine Rest, Inc.

Lilly, thank you for your unwavering dedication, compassionate spirit, and commitment to those we have the privilege of serving. Thank you for faithfully leading our amazing volunteers with humility, grace, and excellence. Your servant’s heart represents the mission of Divine Rest so beautifully, and your kindness reminds others that they are seen, valued, and loved.

We are deeply grateful for your leadership and for the countless ways you pour into our community. May God continue to strengthen you, bless you, and multiply the impact of your service.

This is what dedication to serving looks like, and we are incredibly grateful to God for allowing Lilly Pearl Crook to lead our community outreach efforts.

After returning home from a mission trip to Africa and enduring a 16-hour flight, Lilly still joined fellow dedicated volunteer Diana Stamps in serving at Old Savannah City Mission.

Their commitment reminds us that service is not just something we do—it is a reflection of a heart devoted to God and to helping others. We are blessed by their compassion, selflessness, and unwavering dedication to making a difference in the lives of those they serve.
