This month in Leadership Savannah, we had an inspiring and insightful session!

We spent time highlighting local businesses and had the opportunity to hear directly from passionate entrepreneurs who are helping shape our community every day. Their stories, challenges, and successes were a powerful reminder of the impact small businesses have right here in Andrew County.

We also dove into the heart of servant leadership—what it truly means to lead with purpose, humility, and a focus on others. Paired with meaningful discussions around economic development, it gave us a deeper understanding of how strong leadership and local growth go hand in hand.

Students had the opportunity to learn, connect, and continue growing alongside such an awesome group of peers!💛

Congratulations to Dr. Clarence Green Jr. (LS2026) for receiving the Turret Service Award!

This month the class learned more about County and City government. Andrew Country Treasurer Cindy Esely and Presiding Commissioner Brad Jarvis (LS2021) gave a tour of the Courthouse and introduced the class to our elected officials.

Savannah City Administrator Brooke Bell (LS2015) presented information on the many things the City oversees, and the roles and responsibilities of City government.

The class participated in a lively exercise of how to advocate in your community. We witnessed some very passionate role playing!
Savannah City Councilman Ethan Herbek joined us for a mock City Council meeting.

Thank you Rachel Piper (LS2021) and Connections Bank for sponsoring lunch!!

P.S. - See the last pic if you were curious about the “Witt Speedboy”. Thanks, Jack, for modeling.

Leadership Savannah 2026 has launched!! This is the 11th class and like every class before them are in the running for “the best class ever”, a title that each class has earned. 😎 Let’s face it, we have some pretty remarkable people who live and/or work in Andrew County.

Thank you to Dr. Tim Crowley for pouring into this class of leaders for 2 days and reminding us that leadership is a choice. The first step is choosing to show up for ourselves and others. Thank you to this LS2026 class for showing up in a BIG way!

We appreciate Kristi Raines, Helena Elemetary Principal and LS Alum, coming over to welcome the class to Helena. She introduced SRO Officers Stephanie Resler and Shawn Tate who shared their passion for working with students and being a helpful presence in our schools.

Thank you to Gina's Cafe and Catering for serving a delicious lunch!
