Well, it’s time to point the car toward home. I’m coming home Ash, Camo, Skye and Sheldon.
I’m still trying to figure out how Mom and Dad packed more stuff than we came with. I brought one Frisbee. They acted like we were moving to Colorado.
Then I saw it! The kennel.
Yep. They packed it. After all we’ve been through together. I was really hoping it would somehow get “misplaced” in the mountains. Don’t worry! I know we’re not supposed to litter. Besides, the bears would probably return it with a note that said, “We’re wild, not crazy.”
I think Mom felt a little bad about the whole kennel situation because she made one very important stop before we left. In-N-Out!!!!!!!
This time I didn’t just get a Pup Patty. I got a whole cheeseburger! I finally got my paper hat, and the crew even took a picture with me. At this point, I think they should just make me the official In-N-Out mascot.
Now, I have a rule. I never eat while wearing my working vest. A professional has standards. But, this cheeseburger changed everything. Mom tried to hold it for me. After a couple bites I finally thought, “Mom, you’re slowing down production.” So I took it out of her hands and finished it myself.
I guess you could say it was so good that even a service dog broke the rules.
Now we’re on the road again… but if I’m being honest, I’m somewhere between Colorado and a full-blown cheeseburger coma. Wake me up if we see Brother Bear or another In-N-Out.
I didn’t find Brother Bear this trip, but I found mountains, new friends, my Junior Ranger badge, my paper hat, and memories I’ll never forget.
Until next time, Colorado!
A big thank you to Matt and Emily for inviting us on such an amazing adventure!
