The purpose of this page is to share our charitable work, events and activities with the community.

Mission:

International Masons Order of the Eastern Star's mission is to provide an organization where spiritual women and men with high moral and social character can contribute time, energy and wisdom towards charity, truth and loving kindness. Purpose:

The Order of the Easter Star (OES) is an organization where women and men with high moral character, who have a desire to work for the better

ment of others, and a drive to make the world a better place can contribute their time, energy and wisdom. The OES was designed to serve among women the same purpose as that of Freemasonry among men, and to provide Masons with the cooperation of women kindred without accepting them into the Lodge. Objective:

The objectives of the Order of the Eastern Star are to

promote through the association of its members, a bond of Christian
love and fellowship as well as a sincere concern for our fellow man;
to teach a moral way of life;
to provide for the welfare of our members in the time of need; and
to enjoy a social environment where we may find new and lasting
friends. Our members share their time and effort with the Masonic Brotherhood in advancing the qualities of Brotherly Love, Relief, and Truth..

During Women’s History Month, Jamillah Princess Chapter #185 pause to honor the strength, courage, and legacy of the women who helped shape our history.

Pictured here (Left to Right) are four extraordinary women:
✨ Dr. Betty Shabazz
✨ Dr. Dorothy Height
✨Mrs. Myrlie Evers-Williams
✨Mrs. Coretta Scott King

These phenomenal women were strong, resilient, and trailblazers in the fight for justice, equality, education, and the advancement of our communities. Their leadership did not just support movements—it sustained them. Through grief, resistance, and unwavering faith, they continued the work that changed the course of history.

Because of women like these, generations after them have the courage to lead, serve, and stand boldly in purpose.

As women of service and sisterhood, we are reminded that legacy is built through strength, unity, and the willingness to lift others as we climb.

Strong women — may we know them, may we be them, may we raise them. ✨

We’re raising money to feed 40+ families for Christmas, and every pair of sneakers (new, gently used, or worn) helps us reach that goal. GotSneakers.com recycles the shoes and turns them into funds we use to purchase full Christmas meal baskets.

Donate Sneakers. Feed Families. Show Love in Action.

Jamillah Princess Chapter #185 is on a mission to bless 40+ families with full Christmas meal baskets this year — and we need your help.

We are partnering with GotSneakers.com to collect used, new, or worn athletic sneakers. Every pair collected is recycled, kept out of landfills, and turned into real dollars that will be used to buy full holiday meals for local families in need.

🎯 Why This Matters Now More Than Ever:
With the recent nationwide delays in SNAP benefits and food assistance, many households are struggling more than usual. Families who were already stretched thin are now having to choose between bills, food, and basic needs. We refuse to stand by and watch that happen.

This project allows anyone to give — whether they have money to spare or not.
