💜 October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month 💜

Jamillah Princess Chapter #185 stands with survivors and reminds our community: physical violence is not the only form of domestic violence. Emotional, verbal, sexual, and financial abuse—as well as threats, isolation, and control—are abuse, too. Every wound isn’t visible.

Men can be victims, too. Their experiences deserve to be taken seriously, and everyone deserves support without shame or judgment.

To every woman and man who needs this reminder: love doesn’t hurt. Love should never be an excuse for someone to harm, humiliate, or frighten you. You deserve safety, respect, and peace.

Let’s listen without judgment, support survivors, and help build safer homes and stronger communities. 💜

🎀 October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month 🎀

Jamillah Princess Chapter #185 reminds you: early detection saves lives. Make your health a priority and talk with your doctor about when and how often you should have a mammogram.

Men, this message is for you, too! Breast cancer doesn’t discriminate—men can develop it as well. If you feel a lump or notice swelling, ni**le changes, or another unusual change in your breast or chest, see your doctor promptly. Don’t brush it off.

We honor survivors, support those in treatment, and remember those we have lost. Let’s encourage one another to get checked and keep spreading awareness. 💕

Today, the Sisters of Jamillah Princess Chapter #185 enjoyed a beautiful afternoon of fellowship during our Brunch & Small Gift Exchange. There was laughter, meaningful conversation, thoughtful gifts, and most importantly, an opportunity to simply enjoy one another and strengthen the bonds of Sisterhood.

A special thank you to Sister Dr. Onesha L. Richards for leading such a meaningful activity and reminding us of the importance of pouring into ourselves while also uplifting others. She reminded us of Psalm 139:14 “I am fearfully and wonderfully made.” What a beautiful reminder that every woman should recognize her own worth while encouraging another woman to recognize hers. ✨

Our time together was also a reflection of our Supreme Grand Matron’s theme, “Lift As We Rise.” We believe there is room for all of us to grow, shine, lead, and succeed and as we rise, we have a responsibility to reach back and help another Sister rise too.

This is what Sisterhood looks like at Jamillah Princess Chapter #185: fellowship, encouragement, personal growth, leadership, service, and women genuinely supporting women.

We are continuing to build something beautiful, one Sister at a time.

Jamillah Princess Chapter No. 185 would like to sincerely thank everyone who attended and supported our Unity Brunch. Your presence helped make this event a beautiful success.

We extend our heartfelt appreciation to our guest speaker, Sister Dr. Estella Shabazz, for her inspiring message on unity, working as one, and moving forward together with purpose.

We also give special thanks to Sister Ciara Williams for chairing and putting on an excellent event. Your hard work, planning, and dedication did not go unnoticed.
