If you haven’t heard, the Savanna Lions Club’s 2026 Rose Day is Saturday. April 11th!

Cost is $20 per dozen and we accept cash & Venmo payments.

We’ll do our best to provide you with the color that you select. Typical colors included Red, Yellow, Orange, White, Pink, Purple & Multi-Color.

We’ll also deliver to you or make arrangements to drop off at a convenient public location beginning April 11th.

Get roses for someone else or yourself to brighten their/your day!

Roses are sourced this year by Savanna’s own the Novel Bloom, 218 Main St, Savanna, IL 61074.

Just a reminder on these cold days, go through your old sneakers/tennis shoes and see what can be donated for recycling through the Got Sneaker project. The Answer, RIA, Mannys and the WC Elementary/Middle school all have boxes for you to donate your sneakers. Also, only sneakers that tie are used, velcro sneakers are not taken along with regular shoes. Only athletic type sneakers that tie are accepted for recycle. Thank you for all who help with this program!

UPDATE:

Tomorrow night (Tues. January 6th) is the last day to view our Free Drive Thru Holiday Decoration displays at Marquette Park

If you haven’t seen them yet, come stop down to see the ONLY Holiday Decoration displays along the shoreline of the Mississippi River, in N.W. Illinois!

Add snow and Marquette Park located on the shoreline of the Mississippi River in Savanna, Illinois - truly becomes a Magical Winterland.

FOR FREE & wherever you live, drive or walk through Marquette Park to view the ONLY Holiday Decorations along the shoreline of the Mississippi, in far N.W. Illinois!

Open through Saturday January 10, 2026, daily (end date may vary).

Lighted Viewing Hours are 4pm - 10 pm daily (hours may vary).

Inflatable Santa survived yesterday’s at least 6” wet snowstorm in Marquette Park in Savanna, Illinois!

Come see him & many other Holiday Decoration displays FOR FREE at the park, organized by the Savanna, Illinois Lions Club.

The FIRST @ Marquette Park ever, and THE ONLY Mississippi River shoreline Holiday display - - in far Northwest Illinois!
