Vendor and sponsor registration is OPEN for the 2026 See Me Neurodiverse Community Fest! 🎉

Join us on Sunday, September 20, 2026, from 3–6 PM in Prior Lake for an incredible day focused on inclusion, connection, and support for the neurodiverse community.

Last year’s fest brought together more than 400 attendees and nearly 50 vendors and resource providers, creating a welcoming space where families could connect with services, businesses, activities, and community resources all in one place. Families shared how meaningful it was to find support, feel understood, and simply enjoy an event designed with neurodivergent individuals in mind.

We’re excited to grow even more in 2026, and we’d love to have YOU be part of it!

✨ Why participate?
• Connect directly with neurodivergent individuals, families, and allies
• Share your services, resources, or business with an engaged community
• Show your support for inclusion and accessibility
• Build relationships with other local organizations and businesses

NEW THIS YEAR: Vendors will have dedicated networking time before the fest begins to connect with one another before attendees arrive!

The event will once again feature fun family activities like sensory-friendly spaces, inflatables, crafts, games, and more. Sponsorship opportunities are available at a variety of levels and include promotional benefits such as social media features, website listings, newsletters, signage, and booth space.

Vendor and sponsorship spots are limited, so sign up early!

May is the time of Mother's Day and Mental Health Awareness Month. These are inextricably linked. Since there is no job description for being a mother, we tend to combine different experiences and expectations to create a rosy notion of motherhood. However, that's hardly the case. For example, whether your mother has a mental illness or you are the mother of someone with a mental illness, you may understand the heartache that exists when the relationship is damaged or lost. Education brings understanding, and understanding brings compassion. You can also learn self-care tools. NAMI Minnesota support groups and classes are here for you to help. Find them at namimn.org.

If I think about the adults I hope my kids someday become…
it gives me clarity about how I need to support them NOW.

The skills that we nurture NOW will become the skills that they have later.

Conversely, the things that we discourage NOW are the things that our kids may never be able to access as adults. For me, it was self-advocacy skills. Those skills remain completely out of reach for me, and that has put me at such risk.

This world wants conformity. It wants compliance.
When we are not training our kids to be unwaveringly compliant it can come with a crap-ton of self doubt, and also judgement. We ask ourselves ‘what if we’re not doing right by them? What if we’re missing super important things? What if this way isn’t the right way? Maybe everyone is right? Maybe we should be focusing more on compliance and behaviour??’

As an oft-frazzled and overwhelmed parent, this particular concept really helped me find perspective.

What do you hope for your someday adult kids?
Let those hopes inform your parenting choices now.

For me, it means supporting my kids in learning to trust themselves.
To listen to their bodies.
To think critically.
To know what they deserve.
To regard themselves kindly.
To consolidate their beliefs and values.
To speak up.

What about you?
