K24 Flying Car Madness: The Competition is Soaring!

The skies are buzzing and the competition is absolutely fierce in the K24 Flying Car Madness tournament! Our global roster of athletes continues to push the limits of gravity and skill. We’ve officially hit a massive 8,265 validated entries from 181 incredible competitors. The airspace is tighter than ever, and scores are climbing straight into the stratosphere as everyone brings their absolute A-game!

Leaderboard Updates: Sky-High Standings

The Dogfight for Second: Widodo Saputra and Darin Bartholomew are putting on a spectacular show! They are leapfrogging each other day by day, trading paint and posting some truly high-octane scores.

Rocketing Up the Ranks: Another massive sonic boom on the leaderboard comes from Derek Hutchison, who just blasted his way into the Top 10 with a phenomenal set of entries!

Huge props to all the competitors keeping their engines revved! We still have plenty of flight time left in this 80-day tournament, and as we all know—in Flying Car Madness, anything can happen!

—————————

Important Reminders

To keep the tournament running as smoothly as a freshly tuned hover-engine, please keep the following operational guidelines in mind:

- Keep those camera lenses clean and in sharp focus! When presenting your signs, please hit the brakes and slow down so the signs can read clearly.

- Target Maintenance: Just like a flying car needs a tune-up, your targets need regular maintenance! As your target sections get well-worn from all those epic throws, be sure to refresh the paint or the target face itself to ensure fair and accurate scoring for everyone.

- When filming close-ups, you must show all angles of the knife to definitively prove its score. If we only get a single angle and the evidence isn't clear, that throw might be grounded and called a miss (or an edge, if it’s hovering close to a center cut).

Keep up the amazing energy, keep flying high, and we'll see you on the leaderboards!

Note: Please find the updated scoresheets attached, which reflects all validated entries submitted and reviewed up to June 2nd at 4:45 AM Pacific Time.

WOW! What a great past couple of days for the K24 Flying Car Madness Tournament!

We have officially completed the reviews submitted up to 07:29 AM Pacific Time on May 31st and are almost compete with all the reviews to the cutoff time for the second Cash Prize drawing of 6 PM Pacific time on May 31st. We are projecting to hold the drawing on June 3rd and will post the results once complete.

The energy you all are bringing is absolutely incredible! We’ve seen some massive moves on the leaderboard over the last 48 hours. You all have been busy, and the explosive growth proves it! In just two days, we went from 6,727 to an amazing 7,459 validated event videos. That is over 700 new videos submitted and scored over the weekend!

This flurry of activity led to a major Top 3 shakeup. We have a new 2nd place leader! Darin Bartholomew had an unbelievable past couple days by being the second athlete to achieve a perfect 5 meter set. He added over 50,000 points to his score and surged past Widodo Saputra to claim the #2 spot. Catch him if you can, though, because Joko Trisnanto is still holding incredibly strong at #1. He broke past the 600-video mark and is sitting pretty with a staggering 392,076 points! We are also thrilled to see our community expanding, with the overall ranked list growing from 176 to 179 competitors across the globe. We still have a long way to go before the event ends on July 19th, which means there is plenty of time for you to climb those ranks. Grab your knives, get those cameras rolling, and let's see what you've got! Who is going to make the next big jump?
