I’m in awe of the generosity that I was fortunate enough to be a part of this weekend. It was amazing and so heartwarming to see the power a group of women can have when they put their minds to doing something and the outreach and positive affect they can have! This incredible group raised over $1800 in a few hours for fire victims!! Thank you Deb’s dear elves!! You are all angels!! ❤️❤️

The community that keeps on giving! This past weekend a group of women from MP&MS and the Bay School got together to celebrate the holidays and raise funds to support MarinCares and those affected by the fires. They gave generously and raised over $1800. Thank you!!

Thank you everyone for your overwhelming and amazing support here at MarinCares. We have received approx. $100,000 in goods and services which have all been distributed to fire victims in the North Bay. Your generous donations have been sent to Sonoma County churches, schools, families and local organizations. We have made a difference, but it is not over! Most recently we have been working one on one with individuals and families that have no insurance and have no ability to recover or receive financial support from local or state agencies. In the near future we will be asking for your continued support for these individuals and their families as new needs continues to surface. If you are interested in being matched with a family please let us know.

Hi everyone, Mo DeLong here. As of today, I will no longer be involved with MarinCares. I leave with the most amazing memories of support from our community. I am honored to have been part of the fire relief efforts. I hope that my photos helped tell a story of the sad but uplifting journey we all have been on as a community. I hope that you continue to support the victims of the fire in any way you can. I know the people at MarinCares will continue their efforts to support those affected by the fires.

MarinCares volunteer Lori Smith Docherty headed to Santa Rosa with a friend today to bring donated items to two families who lost everything in the fires. In addition to a Lenovo Thinkpad donated by Pandora (thank you) and Target gift cards through MarinCares, she rallied support from friends to collect clothing and other household supplies for several of the children. The fires are thankfully over, but the needs are still there. If you are interested in "adopting" a family let us know.
