Located in the heart of Sausalito’s waterfront, the Spaulding Marine Center is a nonprofit organization actively celebrating the Bay Area’s Maritime history. With its working 20,000 square foot boatyard, nautical library, historic sailboats and skilled craftspeople, Spaulding is both a link to the past and a promise for the future.

A lovely day to visit

A classic institution, the San Francisco Dolphin Club was founded in 1877 and is known for its members who swim in the Bay without wetsuits.

Home to a fleet of beautiful wooden rowboats, the club is an active boat shop where volunteers gather every Tuesday to work alongside master boatbuilders. They are also a generous supporter of Spaulding’s youth programs!!
