Next Tuesday June 23rd at 5:30 PM we're making a splash at Bayliss! Kids can join in for a special Story Time with Lil' Anglers Tackle Shack. Then afterwards everyone is welcome to join in at Rotary Park for a learn to fish event! This event will be self-transport immediately following the story time.

Language Cafe is tomorrow at Bayliss. Join in at 6 PM for a community-driven event, the languages will be determined by those in attendance. Come practice, connect, and learn; all languages and skill levels welcome at 6 PM.

Tomorrow is the day! Great Michigan Read author Curtis Chin will be here to discuss his deeply personal coming-of-age memoir "Everything I Learned, I Learned in a Chinese Restaurant". Whether you’ve had the chance to read the book or not, join us at 6 PM for an engaging conversation. A book signing will follow, with copies of the book available for purchase.

This author event with Curtis Chin is part of the Great Michigan Read spring tour. The 2025–26 Great Michigan Read is presented by Michigan Humanities. Additional support is provided by national, statewide, and local partners, including the Library of Michigan and MSU Federal Credit Union.

We had such a great time celebrating our Friends today! 🧡🎉

From catching up and reminiscing on past Friends of the Library initiatives to meeting and recruiting new Friends – it was wonderful to see everyone there!

Thank you to the Bayliss Public Library team and our Friends board for helping the event run smoothly, and to Matt, library manager, for providing some entertainment! 👏🏻🎶
