To our Club families and community,
In 2016, an initiative began through the efforts of Sault Ste. Marie youth advocates who identified a need for additional support and enrichment opportunities for area youth. The Boys & Girls Club of Bay Mills implement successful mentoring programs at units located in the Brimley and Bay Mills area.
These two groups were connected through a mutual stakeholder, and thus began the Chippewa Allied Mentoring Program, or C.A.M.P. extension site of the Boys & Girls Club of Bay Mills.
The Boys & Girls Club of Bay Mills Indian Community would like to thank our members, families, and community for their continued support and involvement in our programs. After thoughtful consideration, we will be ending operations at the C.A.M.P. extension site. This decision comes after careful review of operational capacity and alignment with our mission to provide a safe, positive, and consistent experience for youth.
We understand that change can be challenging, and we are committed to supporting families through this transition. Membership dues that have been paid to date will be refunded. Youth and families are welcome to continue participating at our other units located in Brimley and Bay Mills.
The final day of programming at the C.A.M.P. site will be Wednesday, October 29, 2025. For questions or to discuss options for continued Club membership at our other units, please contact Boys & Girls Club of Bay Mills Director, Sandra Walden at 906-248-8577 or [email protected].
On behalf of the Boys & Girls Club of Bay Mills team, it has been both an honor and a joy to connect with your youth and family.
Chi Miigwetch,
Sandy, Jenna, Kurt, Jade, Jamie, Becky, Gabe, Ryan, Jalyn “Goo”, Daanis, Calvin, Autumn, Darryl, Brenda, Maddox, Tommy, Princess, Landon, and Bailey
