Rambling Riders Saddle Club

Rambling Riders Saddle Club RRSC strives to develop and promote fellowship among horse lovers and to promote knowledge and interest in the care, training, and breeding of horses.

Since the club's inception on September 4, 1969 with around 40 members, our club has seen some changes over the years but two things hold true. Those are our goals of promoting good horsemanship and ensuring that riding can be enjoyed by everyone in the family in a safe and fun atmosphere. In the beginning, the club's fun-shows were held at the present ice skating rink in Sauk Centre. In 1971, the

fair board and the saddle club got together and a union of sorts was made. The current arena was built, the fun-shows moved out of the skating rink, the club began hosting annual Open Shows, and members of the club started patrolling the fairgrounds during the Stearns County Fair in 1972. The announcer's stand used to be an old platform and the current two story building was built in 1988. Our Annual Open Show is still a big draw for local riders and some not so local. It is a WSCA sanctioned event, and the turnout is always great! Our Fun-shows are held once a month from May-September. They are free for members and the classes include both Pleasure and Gaming such as Lead Line, Halter, Western Pleasure, Trail, Reining, Barrels, Keyhole, Pole Weaving, Catalog Race, etc. These little shows are a highlight of our saddle club and are a ton of fun for everyone!! Cost of Membership:
first show-Free single member-$15 entire family-$30
