Help ensure students receive weekly food support.
* Oversee food bag assembly process
* Coordinate volunteers for packing food bags weekly
* Organize driver volunteers for school drop-offs
* Time Commitment: ~1 hour weekly (Thursdays, typically evenings)

🛒 Volunteer Purchasing Coordinator
Keep our pantry stocked with nutritious food.
* Inventory food pantry supplies
* Purchase and restock food items
* Ensure shelves are replenished for ongoing needs
* Time Commitment: Monthly, flexible scheduling

SHS National Honor Society walks for Healthy Students Healthy Saugus in the Walk for Hunger 2026!

Saugus National Honor Society is once again walking in Project Bread's Walk for Hunger in support of Healthy Students-Healthy Saugus (HS2).

Saugus NHS has been working with Project Bread and HS2 since the spring of 2022. All year long on Thursdays, NHS members have taken rotating shifts volunteering on Thursday nights with HS2 to assemble bag meals for Saugus students whose families are facing food insecurity!

This Sunday, Sunday May 3, Saugus NHS will be walking in the Walk for Hunger as a Commonwealth Team. This means our fundraising is dual fundraising, supporting both Project Bread and HS2. 60% of our fundraising is coming directly back to Saugus to HS2 to support Saugus students. 40% of our fundraising is donated to Project Bread, who is fighting food insecurity faced by children all over Massachusetts.

Saugus NHS is so excited to be participating once again in this community service project. If you are able to contribute to our fundraising efforts, we deeply appreciate your donation. Every bit helps. We thank you for your past, present, and future support of our students!

Last week Healthy Students-Healthy Saugus was invited back to Macy’s Saugus to celebrate their employee donations through the ‘Bag Hunger’ campaign!
We were thrilled to have received $2,095! They are a great team that cares about giving back in the community they work/live in!

Big THANKS 👏 to Tiger Institute Tae Kwan Do for hosting a food drive to benefit HS2!
They collected over 350 granola bars that will provide a great snack to our students.
We are so lucky to have a great partner to help fight food insecurity in our community!

📢 Big shout out to Saint Vincent dePaul society - St.Margaret’s for their donation for the students of Healthy Students-Healthy Saugus.
SVdP provided chocolate bunnies for our students just in time for Easter. 🐣 🐰

They also provided over 100 jars of peanut butter which will serve as an excellent source of protein for our growing children.
We are so appreciative of their efforts to support food insecurity in the community.

Today Healthy Students-Healthy Saugus was invited to Macy’s Saugus Morning Rally meeting to celebrate the Bag Hunger - No Kid Goes Hungry campaign. All the employees gathered before the store opened to learn about Healthy Students-Healthy Saugus.

Social Impact Co-Leader Ana Curley and Store Manager Jocelyn Mettler are leading the store’s efforts through team/employee donations and in-store fund-raising events all throughout the month of March that will directly support Healthy Students-Healthy Saugus.

We provided them with an overview of our weekly free bag service to Saugus students and displayed the food items that are in a typical bag.
We are so excited to partner with Macy’s Saugus and their employees in their efforts to fight food insecurity in our community.
