🎉 Thank You for Supporting Healthy Students–Healthy Saugus! 🎉

The Healthy Students–Healthy Saugus team raised an incredible $2,757.75 during the Walk for Hunger!
We were proud to have 28 Saugus National Honor Society students participate in the walk in support of our mission, along with more than 50 generous donors who helped make this achievement possible.
Our organization will receive 60% of the funds raised — $1,654.65 — to help provide nutritious food and essential resources to students in our community. The remaining 40% supports Project Bread's statewide efforts to end hunger across Massachusetts.

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who walked, donated, volunteered, and cheered us on. Your generosity and commitment make a meaningful difference in the lives of local students and families.

📅 Save the Date!�The 2027 Walk for Hunger will take place on Sunday, May 2, 2027. We hope you'll join us as we walk together to fight hunger once again!

Keep our pantry stocked with nutritious food.

* Ensure shelves are replenished for ongoing needs
* Time Commitment: Monthly, flexible scheduling

SHS National Honor Society walks for Healthy Students Healthy Saugus in the Walk for Hunger 2026!

Saugus National Honor Society is once again walking in Project Bread's Walk for Hunger in support of Healthy Students-Healthy Saugus (HS2).

Saugus NHS has been working with Project Bread and HS2 since the spring of 2022. All year long on Thursdays, NHS members have taken rotating shifts volunteering on Thursday nights with HS2 to assemble bag meals for Saugus students whose families are facing food insecurity!

This Sunday, Sunday May 3, Saugus NHS will be walking in the Walk for Hunger as a Commonwealth Team. This means our fundraising is dual fundraising, supporting both Project Bread and HS2. 60% of our fundraising is coming directly back to Saugus to HS2 to support Saugus students. 40% of our fundraising is donated to Project Bread, who is fighting food insecurity faced by children all over Massachusetts.

Saugus NHS is so excited to be participating once again in this community service project. If you are able to contribute to our fundraising efforts, we deeply appreciate your donation. Every bit helps. We thank you for your past, present, and future support of our students!

Last week Healthy Students-Healthy Saugus was invited back to Macy’s Saugus to celebrate their employee donations through the ‘Bag Hunger’ campaign!
We were thrilled to have received $2,095! They are a great team that cares about giving back in the community they work/live in!
