The Saugerties Fire Department is excited to announce our participation in My Local Safety, a free and secure app designed to improve communication and emergency response within our community. Through this program, residents can receive important safety messages, emergency notifications, and weather-related alerts directly from the Saugerties Fire Department, while also having the option to voluntarily provide critical household information such as occupant details (including elderly, children, or individuals with disabilities), pets in the home, and important access or safety notes. This information is only viewable by emergency responders while responding to that specific address, allowing responders to better prepare prior to arrival and improve response effectiveness when seconds matter most. As a volunteer fire department, clear communication and accurate information are essential to our ability to protect lives and property, and we strongly encourage all residents to register using the link below.

Now that he has finished visiting the rest of the town, the jolly old elf himself advised us that he has some work to do now through Christmas Eve. Today, while his elves were busy packing gifts at the firehouse, he confirmed his availability to join us for the 106th consecutive year to visit the Village of Saugerties on Christmas Day!! Starting at 8am on Christmas Day, listen for the sirens and come out and visit Santa as he makes his way to every street in the Village!! We look forward to seeing everyone and hope you all have a happy and safe Christmas!! 🎅🚒🎄❄️☃️

Santa will be visiting the district on December 13th. And will be leaving our station at 9am. Make sure to listen for the sirens as our members bring Santa around

As we have for over a century, we will once again be escorting the Jolly Old Elf around the Village of Saugerties on Christmas morning. None of this would be possible without the support of our community as a whole.

We’ve talked with the big man in the red suit and he’s told us his schedule for Saturday 12/6

This year Santa will be making stops around the district for everyone to come say hi and get a little treat before heading back to the fire house! Starting off at 8:00am here is the list of times and locations.

1) 8:00-8:40 Twin Maples Plaza

2) 8:50-9:30 Simmons Plaza (IXL Gym)

3) 9:50-10:30 Barclay Heights (Appletree Dr & Edgewood Dr)

4) 10:40-11:10 Bishops Gate (Joseph’s Dr & Canterbury Dr)

5) 11:20-12:00 Glasco Hamlet (Riccardi School)

6) 12:10-12:50 South end (Cafaldo Dr & Hilltop rd)

7) From 1:00-3:00 Santa will be back at the Glasco Fire House with Hot Coco and Coffee for everyone to come and get their picture taken and drop off their letters!

We can’t wait to see everyone this Saturday!

With the first Snow of the year we'd like to remind you that the Big Man himself will be taking his annual tour of the Malden West Camp Fire District Saturday, 12/13 starting at 9am followed by our Annual Christmas Party at 6pm at the Malden Station!

Listen for the sirens as our Members bring Santa around for all the kids to see!
