LOCATION
We are in Saugatuck, Michigan on the Kalamazoo River, just inland from the beautiful shores of Lake Michigan. Only ten miles south of Holland, Michigan, where our guests find a variety of shops and attractions inspired by Dutch heritage. Holland is also home to the world famous Tulip Time Festival held every May, the third largest festival in the country. Groups planning on attending the

festival are encouraged to contact the camp for lodging options during their stay in West Michigan. The quaint town of Saugatuck is just one mile south of the camp where you'll find the beautiful downtown shops & Saugatuck Harbor with yachts & sailboats from all over the country. Take a cruise on a real Riverboat, the Star of Saugatuck or hit the Dunes with Saugatuck Dune Rides just a mile away!

Some History

Our Story We are in Saugatuck, Michigan on the Kalamazoo River, just inland from the beautiful shores of Lake Michigan. Only ten miles south of Holland, Michigan, and just north 1 mile of the Downtown Saugatuck docks.

Pine Trail began it’s story in 1961 when Chuck McWherter rallied some Godly men along with several Bible-preaching churches in Chicago to purchase the camp to be a place of ministry & solitude away from the busyness of Chicago. Over the years, through seasons of faithful ministry the camp was passed on to New Life Community Church of Chicago in 2015 and continues to honor Jesus in faithful ministry to kids, families, and churches both from the Chicago area & local West Michigan. The camp grounds have been revitalized, the mission reinvigorated, and our heart for outdoor Bible ministry is clear - we value Outdoor Adventure, Personal Restoration, Christ-like Character & Continual Improvement.

From fall, winter or spring retreats, to full week summer camps, we’d love to have you come adventure with us
