Why join Farmer Browns Farm, Community Supported Agriculture (CSA)?

Supporting local farmers

CSAs support local farms directly, without a middleman, and can help strengthen the local economy.

Fresher produce

CSA members receive produce that's freshly picked and free of harmful chemicals. Freshly picked produce is more nutritious because of the way we grow it and tastes better than produce that's been transported and displayed in stores.

Better for the environment

CSAs can reduce food miles and food waste, and the food has a smaller carbon footprint. Local farmers also tend to use sustainable growing methods that focus on soil health, which can result in more nutritious fruits and vegetables.

Healthier diet

CSAs can help you eat more vegetables and seasonally, and introduce you to new produce.

Cost savings

Studies suggest that CSAs can be more affordable than buying produce at the grocery store.

The Farmer Browns Farm Difference :

Most farms have a high annual cost due at the beginning of the year. A CSA share can range from $400–$700, depending on the farm, the length of the harvest season, and the quantity and variety of products. The upfront payment helps the farmer purchase seeds and other inputs for the season and provides immediate income. In exchange, consumers receive a number of weeks of CSA share distribution. For example, a farm might offer a full share for $500 that includes 20 weeks of seasonal produce, distributed typically from mid-June to late October.

At Farmer Browns Farm, our members- you pay for your share weekly. If we suffer a loss you don't. And if you need to skip a week, you're not paying.
