Satsuma High School Peer Helpers

Peer Link, is a new program designed for rising high school juniors and seniors presented by Mobile United. The hope is to make a significant impact in reducing drug use and its spread among high school students. Participants of the program are trained to serve as peer counselors and gain valuable experience across fields such as law, health, counseling, and technology. In addition to hands-on learning, participants receive funds to support their post-secondary plans, whether that’s college, trade school, or another next step. Application deadline is May 15th.

Our 10-12 grade Satsuma High School Peer Helpers had the incredible opportunity to help facilitate the Lee Elementary School Mental Health Fair with our 5th and 6th Grade Gators! They led fruitful discussions about coping skills, positive friendships, and stress management. Thank you, Mrs. White for inviting the “big kids” to come over and help and for organizing this event!
