This year, Peer Helpers will be delivering video announcements each Friday. Check out the one for today! In addition to the Pledge of Allegiance and club and organization updates, it has a special message from Coach Phillips about the official kickoff to football season and the much-anticipated Homecoming Theme Reveal from Mrs. Sealey's Event Planning class.

Satsuma High School Peer Helpers went through their annual Essential Skills training today, learning about the importance of communicating and connecting with their peers and brainstorming about how to best serve the student body! It’s going to be a great year, Gators!! 🐊

Peer Link, is a new program designed for rising high school juniors and seniors presented by Mobile United. The hope is to make a significant impact in reducing drug use and its spread among high school students. Participants of the program are trained to serve as peer counselors and gain valuable experience across fields such as law, health, counseling, and technology. In addition to hands-on learning, participants receive funds to support their post-secondary plans, whether that’s college, trade school, or another next step. Application deadline is May 15th.

May is Mental Health Awareness Month! We want to encourage our students to wear green on Friday, May 1 to kick off the month and help raise attention and start the conversation!
