These two Officers saved 2 baby raccoons found in the road where an adult was seen dead close by. One of the caring officers, Officer Perez, transported the babies to our lead rehabber Alice, she monitored and loved them through the night πŸ™ Poor babies πŸ₯Ί Thank you Officers, we deeply appreciate you taking the time to care and get them help! 🀝 πŸ«‚

Not all rescues involve sirens and flashing lights. πŸ¦πŸ’™

Corporal Perez and Officer Ramos recently helped rescue two baby raccoons after they were found alone in the neighborhood. Thank you to the resident who shared this sweet photo with us!

We want to thank Aloha Pet and Bird Hispital for helping with the tough stuff.
Dr. Vani had just gotten done with a complicated late night surgery when we rescued a fawn with compound leg fractures. It was about 11:30pm and the poor baby was suffering and needed emergency euthanasia. Ali , one of our own - who also works at Aloha, met rescuer Caroline at the Hospital and then without delay Dr. Vani took it from there . We deeply appreciate Veterinarians jumping in to give aid to wildlife, especially during emergencies β€οΈβ€πŸ©Ή Thank You so very much for making the difference πŸ™

It appeared a bat was washed out of a gutter and found wet on the ground.
Most bats cannot easily fly directly from the ground because their wings cannot generate enough lift from a standstill and their legs are too small to run. Instead, they typically climb to an elevated spot and drop to start flying.

After resting and drying a bit it still appeared pretty lively when wild florida rescuers arrived. They placed it back on rhe tree and up up up he went and then flew off!! πŸ¦‡
GODSPEED Mr. Bat! Dont forget us when the summer bugs are out!!

This is Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservations rescue, but we were proud to provide man power as a team AND so happy to work with so many amazing folks to make it happen including the worried Beach goers, FWC biologists/rescuers, Brevard County Fire Rescue, Brevard County Deputy Sheriff's, I even spotted an Inwater Reseacher! Great team effort for sure 🀝 Over guessed on the weight πŸ˜… she was 1200 lbs when weighed , but still A LOT of pounds! And Thank you Esther Bower Fox 35 for all your reporting on these stories!

A beautiful great blue heron was spotted with 4 pack plastic can holders around its beak. πŸ˜– Over the course of the next 9 days Lily and Andrew , one of our husband wife duo on dispatch and rescue, closely comunicated with Betty Salter from the Great Outdoors Community to save this bird. At one point the bird had gotten it down around his chest 😲and then his beak at the same time 😭 Betty, along with community members Chris ,Cammy and Joe, monitored the herons whereabouts daily. The team had been so close to the bird (affectionately named Gary) several times but he kept eluding them πŸ˜ͺ GBH's are not always easy!! We had the snare and net gun out there trying (thanks Andrew ☺️)!! Finally he was trapped with a fishing net by Chris and all hands on deck for a quick removal, exam and RELEASED to FREEDOM!! What a fantastic team effort and we love those folks at the Great Outdoors Community! They have worked with us on several animals in serious situations πŸ’œ Thank you everyone πŸ’œ
GODSPEED Gary!
