Handmade Hope of Western PA Spreading the love -- Providing handmade items to those in need. We collect and distribute handmade hats for local cancer centers and hospitals.

Started in 2010 after Kristie's dad fought (and won!) his own battle against cancer, we are a local chapter of HeadHuggers, which makes and provides hats for those who have lost their hair due to chemotherapy, brain surgery, or burns. While the majority of our items are distributed to cancer centers and oncology units, we are also providing hats, blankets, shawls, and slippers to any patient who is in need of some snuggly warmth, comfort, and love

My hip replacement rehabilitation…lots and lots of hats made!! Enough made that I used up almost all of my yarn stash!
It’s been a rough few years with the pandemic but places are starting to accept hats again.
We never really quit donating but we did slow down. So remember if anyone is in need just contact us💕

Due to arthritis and inflammation issues, my hat making has slowed down considerably but the helper ladies always come through! Recently received a donation from Diane Fedell. Thanks so much Diane and enjoy your winter in Florida 🌞

Good morning!! This has been a trying year (what an understatement) but the ladies of Handmade Hope have kept on making hats! I am so very grateful for each and every one of the helpers. We wouldn't be able to do what we do without the help. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. Pam and Kristie
