What started out in memory of a devoted father and patriot has now become a city wide annual event for Sargent Texas celebrating heroes in service to our country. This fishing tournament is geared towards providing our American Soldiers and Veterans a short respite from treatment/recovery with a weekend of fishing and community. We are currently seeking sponsors who would like to have a ground flo

or opportunity to assist in underwriting our event expenses and raise funds to support Serve Outdoors Matagorda Bay Chapter. Partnering with Serve Outdoors MBC “http://www.serveoutdoorsmbc.org” a 501(C)(3) tax exempt organization and also with Sargent residents, businesses and area fishing guides, this annual event is able to provide something very unique. Serve Outdoors MBC is an all volunteer organization dedicated to providing quality outdoor related activities to men and women that have been on the field of battle in service to our country. Sargent residents open their homes for the weekend to host these American Heroes. Local residents and area fishing guides donate an all-expense paid day of fishing so these Warriors may participate in the event and be our honored guests. Merchandise donated will be auctioned off at the dinner and auction on Saturday night, Nov. 12, 2022. General donations of cash should be made payable via check to “Serve Outdoors MBC” and given to or mailed to Rhonda Sandefer 869 CR 297 Sargent, TX 77414. A donation to this extremely worthy cause would show supporters in attendance that you are dedicated and actively involved in the rehabilitation and welfare of those men and women that have sacrificed so much for our country. We are looking for House Hosts, Boat Captains & Auction item donations and sponsors. We appreciate our communities support and it is by your support that this yearly event is so successful.
