Ever since we moved here, we have taken in numerous animals that needed homes. Recently, we became aware of a critical shortage of shelter space in our area. We looked around at our land, and had the idea to start our own. We are in the process of applying for non-profit status. We are modifying fences and creating shelters. We have one large area complete, and one still in progress. We will also be looking for a local vet to partner with us in this endeavor.

We are just beginning but have worked hard to create a space where we are able to accept dogs in need of a safe home. We will continue to create spaces suitable for additional animals, including cattle, horses, pigs, and poultry. Stay tuned for more updates!

I neglected to take “before” pics….but here are a few showing some progress we’ve made. This was previously used as a goat shelter, but was not being utilized. Over the past few days we cleaned it out and created a fenced area around it to house puppies/dogs in need of a home. We will continue to create space for additional animals in need.
