🎉 Congratulations to Krista Hayslip on receiving our most recent Educator Mini Grant! The funds will be used for the upcoming Farm to Fork program at Eastern Middle School where students will engage in hands-on learning experiences centered on food preparation, food safety, nutrition, and the connection between agriculture and the
foods they consume. 🥗🥓🥪

Come on out tomorrow for another Garden tractor pull. We are at the Highschool. Weight in starts at 4 and the pulls start at 6 PM. We have arranged for wonderful weather and don't forget to stop by the concession stand and grab a hotdog, chips and an ice cold beverage!

While many educators are enjoying a well-deserved summer break, Mrs. Hayslip is spending part of hers giving back to the agricultural education profession by serving as a presenter at the Ohio Agricultural Education Summer Conference.

Attention Garden Tractor Pullers and Fans! 📢

The Eastern Brown FFA Alumni would like to share that Southern Buckeye Garden Tractor Pulling has officially taken over the operating duties of managing the garden tractor pulls at Clifton Park.

We are excited to partner with a group that is dedicated to continuing and growing this great tradition! For the latest schedules, rule changes, event updates, and announcements throughout the year, be sure to join and follow the Southern Buckeye GT Pulling Facebook group.

Please join us in welcoming Dara Howser Landess as the new Agricultrue Education instructor at Eastern High School Brown County Ohio

Dara began her teaching career Eastern Middle School Brown County Ohio as a SHCTC satellite teacher in 2018, where she taught for four years before taking an opportunity at Lynchburg-Clay Local School District. During her time there, she coached a local student to a National Winning SAE in Fiber & Oil Crops in 2023 and led a State Winning General Livestock Judging Team in 2026.

Outside of the classroom, Dara and her husband, Dakota, were married in 2019 and are proud parents to their sons, Kaden and Beau. Together, they reside in Brown County where they raise market goats and beef cattle while also helping operate the family farm near Mount Orab, producing corn, soybeans, wheat, spelts, and hay.

We are thrilled to welcome Dara back to Brown County and cannot wait to see the impact she will make on our students, program, and community!

Eastern Local School District and the Southern Hills JVSD could not be more excited about the future of Agriculture Education at Eastern and our newly formed partnership focused on bringing as many opportunities, resources, and real-world experiences as possible to our students!

Mrs. Landess will team up with current agriculture teacher, Mrs. Krista Hayslip, who will be taking that reigns at Eastern Middle School as the instructor.

We are offering the remaining plants from our plant sale for just $60 for the entire lot! This is a great opportunity to grab greenhouse-grown flowers while supporting the ag program.

Under the direction of Mr. Tull our 8th grade ag students spent time in the wood shop creating their own wooden tool boxes at the end of the school year!
