These two young women were involved in a serious car accident about 2 months ago. Jaida (right) was found unconscious in the vehicle. Saratoga Springs Firefighters quickly and safely extracted her from the vehicle and began transporting her lights and sirens to the hospital. This only took 10 minutes. Incredible fast. The crews suspected the worst, a brain bleed.

Jaida did in fact have a Traumatic Brain Injury that required serious brain surgery and hospitalization. Her relatively quick recovery is in fact miraculous.

Last week, Jaida, her parents, and her friend also involved in the crash, came by to say thank you to the crew who helped save her.

CLOSED DOORS! - This is a great representation of the importance of closed doors during a fire. It’s amazing how well doors keep a fire contained. It’s important to keep your bedroom door closed when you go to sleep at night.

These pictures are from A shift’s fire early this morning. We are glad no one was injured. Good job A shift on the quick knock down and keeping the fire contained to the garage!

Our Saratoga Firefighters had the opportunity to provide and cook dinner for these burn survivors! Thank you to everyone that participated and help bring this dinner together. Thank you to Ridley's Family Market- Eagle Mountain for donating the food!

Tonight our Olympians were treated to a delicious Italian dinner by Saratoga Fire Local 5460 🇮🇹🍝

We are raising money to help support the U of U Burn Camp this year! $20 for pickup or $25 for shipping. Venmo In description put your name, number of shirts, Size, and address if wanting it shipped. (Pickup will be in Saratoga Springs TBA) . As Local 5460, we are hosting a dinner for 100 campers at Camp Nah Nah Mah. This camp is for burn survivors aged 6-13, and this camp helps introduce the children to the burn survivor world. As firefighters, we want to make a difference not only during the emergency, but also the years to come. . *The proceeds from this fundraiser will go towards the burn camp. We have permission from the University of Utah to use their logo.
