Christmas Kids, year 16, 2024 is Done!
So humbled and blessed beyond words that we were able to work with our sponsors and provide Christmas for over 100 families and 300+ kids this year!
Wow.. what a huge effort this was. My sis ... who usually spends hours helping me was out this year because of surgery, my parents were able to help a couple of days, but mom had back surgery this week! We ha e been SO blessed to have e so many people step up this year to help, it was a huge undertaking and they each made it easier.
Thanks to my hubby Dave Johnson who helped me every step of the way, gave up his space in the garage and moved I can't count how many boxes for me!
My kids, grandkids, friends and strangers who came to help check the list twice and make sure all of the kids got what they were supposed to!
Marina, who works tirelessly with the families at her school and in the community, an⁷d ads this into her schedule every year! She and her team.. counselors and social workers, identify the families in need. We Know that this is helping those who truly need it!
Thanks to a Giving Tree who provided 30 mini trees with gift cards for us and helped us bless even More families!
Special thanks to Morgan and Katie who raised more money, shopped with us, helped box everything, and check off everything on the list for the 21 kids who were not spo sored and were helping g us until 3 a.m. the day of delivery! Morgan and her husband bought everyone helping at drop off pizza as well!
And to Green Day Movers from Cottonwood, who donated their time, trucks and efforts to load rheir trucks and dropped off everything at the school!
To the Ascent Academt West Jordan staff who helped us unload and organize all of the boxes , and the Riverton Lacrosse team who loaded all the boxes into family cars! (Yay for our backs!)
