The Suncoast Science Center/Faulhaber Fab Lab is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization founded with the mission to inspire and support tomorrow's innovators through experiential learning in Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics. Through our fabrication lab and innovative programs, we encourage people of all ages to explore ideas, build skills and confidence, and become lifelong

learners. Holding true to the value our founders, Dr. Fritz and Ping Faulhaber, place on experiential learning, we have created a safe, collaborative community where individuals feel empowered to explore interests, think creatively, build confidence and grow as individuals. The Fab Lab is located between Suncoast Polytechnical High School and Triad School, just south of the Wilkinson Road and Beneva Road intersection:

Today was the kick-off meeting for the Student Community Innovation Program (SCIP)! This summer, more than 20 local high school students will spend 100 hours collaborating with educators to refresh our Science Lending Library. As students themselves, they know what kinds of hands-on STEM kits will excite and engage learners. Lots of innovation, creativity, and fun ahead this summer, stay tuned!

A little lab-made table glow up just in time for summer programs✨We transformed ordinary sheets of plywood into hexagonal tables using the CNC router, contact cement, and laminate sheets (in green, black, and safety yellow of course!) A touch of walnut edge banding and some hand-routing brought everything together.

Special thanks to our old tables for their final contribution: donating the mounting hardware for the upgrade. 🪦
