Sweet, senior, and full of spirit—Paddington has been waiting far too long for his forever family. At 10 years old, this distinguished gentleman proves that age is just a number. He still has plenty of playfulness left in him and is ready to trade the shelter life for a cozy couch of his own!

​🌟 What Makes Paddington So Special?
​Adventure Awaits: He might be a little shy at first, but the moment he sees the car, he knows an adventure is starting! He gets so excited and happily jumps right in.

​The Ultimate Entertainer: Paddington absolutely loves his toys. His favorite game is throwing them up in the air and running to retrieve them—he’ll keep you smiling for hours with his silly antics.

​Couch Potato Pro: Once he gets inside, he makes himself right at home. Seeing this sweet senior curl up and relax on a comfortable couch is pure joy. He desperately needs a break from the shelter to experience true comfort and safety.

​📝 A Few Details to Know:
​Leash Manners: Paddington is a good boy on walks, but he can still use a little practice. Using a harness helps give him (and you!) better comfort and control during strolls.

​A Little TLC Goes a Long Way: Paddington currently has a few bald spots, but with a loving, stable home, good nutrition, and some tender loving care, we are confident his handsome coat will bounce right back!

My name is Creed and I like other dogs. I know some commands and walk nice with my friends while on leash.

I am ELEVEN YEARS OLD but I act like a middle ager. I have lots of energy and love my walks. (my age is only a number that someone guessed)

We have had the pleasure of fostering Creed for a few weeks he is now back at the shelter, ready for his forever home. Here are some things we learned about him.
House broken - yes
Dogs - yes
Kids - yes
Cats - no

Drools - like h***h from Turner and H***h
Will love on a stuffy, does not destroy, but prefers to snuggle with people
He is a strong boy for his age
He likes walks and rolling in the yard
He knows sit and down, but sometimes he has to be in the mood for it 😂

After 13 incredible years, we have made the heartbreaking decision to close the doors of Vintage Paws Sanctuary.
This is not the ending we ever imagined, but it is impossible to say goodbye without first saying thank you.

To our amazing community, volunteers, board members, adopters, forever foster families, followers, donors, and supporters—you made our mission possible. Because of your compassion, generosity, and belief in senior dogs, more than 400 senior dogs were given a second chance at life instead of facing an uncertain future. Together, we showed that old dogs are worthy of love, dignity, comfort, and happiness.

Thank you to everyone who donated funds, food, supplies, blankets, beds, medications, and countless other necessities. Thank you to those who attended our fundraisers and events, shared our posts, opened your hearts and homes, and cheered alongside us every time one of our seniors found a forever foster or adoptive family.
You celebrated the joyful moments with us, and you stood beside us through the heartbreaking ones. We cried together when we lost dogs despite every effort to save them, and we found comfort knowing they were loved until the very end.

We are deeply grateful to the veterinary practices and specialists who generously shared their expertise, compassion, and dedication to caring for our senior dogs. Your kindness gave so many of them more time, comfort, and quality of life than they otherwise would have known.

A very special thank you goes to the team at ACE Pet Resort for the exceptional love and care they provided to the dogs who stayed with them. Your compassion meant the world to us and to every wagging tail in your care.

Finally, our heartfelt thanks to Satchel's Last Resort for stepping forward to assume the care of our remaining Forever Foster dogs, allowing them to stay in the loving homes they have come to know while continuing to receive the support they need. We could not have asked for a better partner to carry that responsibility forward.

If you're able, please follow and support Satchel's Last Resort in their tireless mission of rescuing, rehabbing, and rehoming homeless and surrendered pets. They are doing extraordinary work, and they deserve our continued support.

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for being part of the Vintage Paws Sanctuary family. Every dog we saved, every tail wag, every peaceful nap, every happy adoption, and every life lived with dignity happened because of you.
The sanctuary may be closing, but the love, memories, and legacy we built together will live on forever.
