Thanks to SNN, The Suncoast News Network for helping bring awareness to the threat that continues to loom as Sarasota County considers the future of public lands it wants to sell to industry.

The ongoing dispute over the embattled Sarasota County Celery Fields continue as conservationists push back on a local businessman's plans for a waste transfer facility near the fields.

It's with a heavy hear that we report the loss of our friend and neighbor, WC. Please keep his family in your thoughts and prayers. 😢

It is with a heavy heart that we inform you of the passing of Firefighter/PIC W.C. Donaldson. Firefighter Donaldson served with Sarasota County Fire Department for 16 years. He was a true example of a community hero and will be missed dearly. Please keep the Donaldson family in your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time. We will share information on funeral arrangements as they become available.
