"WE ARE THE WORLD..." was originally written in 1985.... again in 2010 for Haiti (updated video below). We've learned very little since. "WE ARE THE WORLD {THEY ARE OUR CHILDREN)..." LET US REMEMBER AND PRAY FOR ALL CHILDREN - OUR BROTHERS AND SISTERS - ESPECIALLY IN UKRAINE and GAZA. Their plight is the rest of the world's purge on humanity. REMEMBER: 'THE FORCE OF 'ONE' IS GREATER WHEN WE ALL STAND TOGETHER'.

REFLECTION.

After 12 exciting years with much success, trials-and-tribulations, accomplishments and learning experiences, CARES Outreach has arrived at the colloquial ‘fork-in-the-road’.
Many deserve heartfelt thanks for their dedication and commitment: past and present Board Members, community leaders and advocates, individuals, business entities (local, international, corporate, and private), and so many others. To all of CARES benefactors - whose in-kind, financial, and intellectual support and guidance helped CARES grow - none are no more invaluable than CARES volunteers - the community and I say, ‘Thank you’.
But it is the community who deserves the biggest note of ‘Thanks’. Without their support, their needs, and desire to protect one another through education, prevention and testing, CARES would not have been able to carry out its mission and vision statements.
After much consideration and review, words of gratitude cannot appropriately express the thanks to Hedges generosity over the past 12 years. CARES will continue to work with Hedges when it can.
Memories will abound and may fade away into the dawn of a new day filled with many unknowns but one: THE COMMUNITY IS A BETTER PLACE WHEN ONE CARES FOR ANOTHER.

WHAT ARE OPIOIDS?
The poppy plant contains o***m. O***m is made of different components, such as morphine and codeine. These can be processed and turned into illegal opioids including he**in and opioid medications such as fentanyl, hydrocodone, or oxymorphone (Centers for Disease Control and Prevention [CDC], 2022a).
