What if one hiring or housing decision could help change the course of someone’s life after incarceration?

On October 9, Project 180 is bringing together employers, hiring professionals, property managers, housing providers, and other community leaders for a targeted Reentry Simulation facilitated by the Florida Department of Corrections.

This experience offers an opportunity to better understand the barriers people face when returning home and consider how we can create more accessible pathways to employment, housing, and long-term stability.

If you make or influence hiring or housing decisions, we hope you will join us. If someone in your network should be part of this experience, please share this event with them.

Space is limited, and registration is required. Scan the QR code on the flyer or learn more at www.project180reentry.org/reentry-simulation/.

Rebuilding a life does not happen overnight. It takes time, stability, support, and a safe place to call home.

This story shares Scottie’s personal journey and the difficult road that brought him to Project 180. When he was released from incarceration, he faced the possibility of homelessness. A bed in one of our homes gave him a safe place to land and the opportunity to begin rebuilding his life.

We are so proud of Scottie, the work he continues to put into rebuilding his life, and the man he is becoming. We are grateful to have him as part of Project 180 and for his willingness to share his personal story so openly.

Thank you to Caden Dyer for taking the time to listen and share Scottie’s story with such care.

He almost chose prison over the streets of Florida. A bed in a shared house gave him the second chance he desperately needed.

Project 180 is grateful to be part of The Patterson Foundation's Margin & Mission Ignition initiative!

During Learning Lab #2, our team continued exploring earned income and social enterprise opportunities that could expand our mission impact for people returning home from incarceration while also strengthening Project 180’s long term financial sustainability.

Thank you to The Patterson Foundation and No Margin, No Mission facilitators Larry Clark and Mike Oxman for creating such an engaging day of learning, collaboration, and hands-on exploration. We are excited to keep testing the possibilities and discovering which ideas could create meaningful opportunities for the people we serve while generating greater financial stability for our mission.

A sentence may end, but the barriers of incarceration often do not.

For someone returning home from prison, finding safe and stable housing can be one of the greatest obstacles to rebuilding a life. In “They Served Time. Now There’s Nowhere to Go,” Caden Dyer explores these challenges and how Project 180 provides more than a place to live. Our residents find structure, support, opportunity, and a community committed to helping them move forward.

Thank you, Caden, for spending time with our staff, residents, and graduates and for bringing attention to such an important part of reentry.

We are honored to have Project 180 and our program participants featured in “A Bed, a Brotherhood and a Way to Stay Out.”

This summer, we welcomed a group of college student journalists who spent time getting to know the people who make Project 180 what it is. This story offers an inside look at what reentry can look like when someone has a safe place to live, support finding work, and a community walking alongside him as he rebuilds his life after incarceration.

Thank you to Jackson Ingvoldstad for sharing this story and the heart behind our mission.

Her Next Chapter Begins with a Choice đź’–

For a woman returning home from incarceration, rebuilding her life means more than finding housing and employment. It also means reclaiming her independence, rebuilding her confidence, and beginning to recognize herself again.

Through Her Next Chapter: The Choice Fund, your gift will help women entering Project 180’s Women’s Residential Program create their own Confidence Kits by choosing the personal care products that feel right for them.

After years of having so many decisions made for you, the opportunity to walk into a store and choose something for yourself can mean more than we may realize.

You can help give each woman the dignity of choice and a confident start to her next chapter. 🙌

Help us welcome these women home with confidence and choice:

Give women returning to our community the gift of choice, dignity, and confidence through self-care and a fresh start.
