This group has disbanded. We now attend the Lakewood Ranch Gluten Free Support Group. They meet the 2nd Wednesday of the month at LWR Medical Center at 6:30 pm.

Also, there will be a meeting of the Gluten Free Group the second Wednesday of every month at 6:30 PM
Meeting place: Lakewood Ranch Medical Center Conference Room 1.

Sad to report, our group no longer is able to meet in the space on Waldemere. We are looking for a new location, if you know of one, please contact us. Until then, we plan to join the new support Group (formed this year) that meets in Lakewood Ranch .

On May 13, the Gluten Free + Healthy Lifestyles Expo from 10-5 at the Sarasota Municipal Auditorium.

Our next meeting is May 20 from 1-3:30pm.
Location: Waldemere Medical Plaza, 1921 Waldemere St. 2nd Floor, our meetings are open to the public.

Beckham's on the Trail. Folks (especially snowbirds recently arrived), Beckham's has moved further south and is now at 8579 S. Tamiami Trl - next to Haverty's in the same mall as Target neare Central Sarasota Parkway. Annie and her staff always take good care of us with their excellent Gluten Free Menu!

With great sadness we report that long-time member Joe Spadafora passed away October 6 peacefully at home. He was an active contributor to our group' discussion and he will be missed. We send our condolences to his family.
The funeral will be held Saturday Oct. 15 at St. Thomas More Catholic Church 2506 Gulf Gate Dr, Sarasota, FL 34231 at 9:30 a.m.
At the request of his family, in lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Sarasota-Manatee Gluten Free Support Group at 4532 Ascot Circle North Sarasota FL 34235

Our next meeting is on Saturday May 21 from 1:00 to 3:30 pm. Dr Kalvaria (A Gastroenterologist in Sarasota) will be speaking on what he calls "A Journey Through the Gut" where he will start at the top of the digestive system and discuss what can and does happen along the way.
