Seventy-Six Trombones (and some incredible students) led the big parade on Friday in the 2nd and 3rd grade production of The Music Man! We were blown away watching the talented actors who lit up the stage with their joyful rendition of the beloved musical.
All of us at SSFA want to share our deep appreciation and love for Ms. Scanlan, our talented (and tireless) director, who staged the show over the course of months of rehearsals. Without her, The Music Man would not have been such a show-stopping success.
In turn, she would like to express her gratitude for the incredible student volunteers who gave their time and talents to support the show’s creation, as well as a number of parent volunteers without whom The Music Man would not have happened, including: Terri Dees (seating coordinator), Jennifer Zaborney (props and set decorations), Alex Chau (programs designer), Erika Wise Borland (props), Kelly Mangino (photography), Lindsey Conrad (backstage support, costume organization and prep goddess), Cortlyn Moric (show night meal), and all other parent volunteers who provided snacks and support throughout months of rehearsals. We couldn’t agree more!
A special “thank you” to all the staff and admin who made the play possible, specifically Dr. Roscoe and Doug Elliott for helping to improve the sound system so our performers could be heard!
Finally - to all the parents and students who made the grade 2/3 musical a reality - we are so grateful for and proud of you! With the close of The Music Man we at SSFA are saying, “Goodnight, My Darling” to productions for the 2025-2026 school year, but we are so excited to see what the 2026-2027 school year brings!
