And this month, we’re turning awareness into an opportunity to learn.

On Thursday, September 10, join TeamTony and Tina Inman of Moffitt Cancer Center for our Lifestyle Wellness Series presentation, Ovarian Cancer and Genetic Risk Workshop — Project COURAGE.

Together, we’ll explore hereditary cancer risk, screening and prevention options, genetic counseling, and no-cost services available through Project COURAGE.

Through our partnership with the Louis and Gloria Flanzer Philanthropic Trust, eligible personal gifts to TeamTony can be matched dollar for dollar. That means a $50 gift can become $100 of support. A $250 gift can become $500. And the connection you help create can reach even further.

Your generosity helps make free peer-to-peer support and resources possible for cancer fighters, survivors, and caregivers right here on Florida’s Suncoast. And through the Flanzer Matching Program, eligible gifts of up to $500 per month may be matched, with an annual maximum match of $3,000 per household to TeamTony.

Friday is a good time to notice the things that carried us through the week. đź’›

Maybe it was a friend who checked in. A quiet cup of coffee. Someone who listened without trying to fix anything. Or a moment when you found the courage to say, “I could use some help.”

We’re reminded every day at TeamTony that connection doesn’t have to be complicated to be meaningful. Sometimes, simply knowing someone is beside you can change the weight of a difficult day.

As the week comes to a close, take a moment to appreciate the people who show up for you—and, when you can, be that person for someone else.

That’s how community grows. One person, one conversation, one moment of connection at a time.

Not with all the answers. Not with a promise that everything will be okay. Just with the willingness to listen, to sit beside someone, and to remind them they don’t have to carry a hard day by themselves.

That’s the heart of TeamTony: people showing up for people. Sharing what they’ve learned. Making room for the hard stuff. Offering connection when it’s needed most.
