A night to remember… and a first pitch that brought the celebration to life! ❤️⚾️

Last night, our UnidosNow families came together to celebrate Hispanic Heritage at the Barbas Negras’ final Hispanic Heritage Game of the season.

And the highlight of the night? Our founder, Kelly Kirschner, took the mound to throw the ceremonial first pitch! 🎉⚾️

The result? A pitch full of heart, pride, and community! ❤️

With cheers from the stands, baseball, games for the kids, laughter, and families enjoying the night together, we created the kind of memories that remind us how special it is to celebrate who we are and what we build together.

Because at UnidosNow, we know that great moments don’t always need a home run… sometimes, they start with a great pitch. 😉⚾️❤️

¡Una noche para recordar… y un lanzamiento que encendió la celebración! ❤️⚾️

Anoche, nuestras familias de UnidosNow se reunieron para celebrar nuestra Herencia Hispana en el último Hispanic Heritage Game de la temporada de los Barbas Negras.

Y el momento estelar llegó cuando nuestro fundador, Kelly, tomó el montículo para lanzar la primera bola! 🎉⚾️

¿El resultado? ¡Un lanzamiento con corazón, orgullo y mucha comunidad! ❤️

Entre aplausos, béisbol, juegos para los niños, risas y familias compartiendo juntas, vivimos una noche llena de esos momentos que nos recuerdan lo bonito que es celebrar quiénes somos y todo lo que construimos juntos.

Porque en UnidosNow sabemos que los grandes momentos no siempre necesitan un home run… a veces empiezan con un buen lanzamiento. 😉⚾️❤️

This month, our Future Leaders Academy alumni start college. Our eighth graders cross into high school. A new group of middle schoolers joins FLAM. 🎓

These aren't ordinary transitions—they're what happens when students persevere, and families believe education can change what's possible. And the ripple keeps going: younger siblings who now see a new path, parents who find new opportunities, communities that grow stronger.

Back-to-School Success!

What an incredible day of community, collaboration, and giving back! UnidosNow was proud to join forces with ’s House of Hope, the Manatee Branch of the , and an amazing network of community partners to help local students start the school year ready for success.

Together, we welcomed approximately 300 students and their families, connecting them with school supplies, educational opportunities, and valuable community resources. Thanks to the generous support of the Shapiro Family Foundation, UnidosNow distributed 144 backpacks with essential school supplies!

A huge THANK YOU to our incredible partners:

The Ringling, House, Mote Marine Laboratory & Aquarium, The Bishop Museum of Science and Nature, Van Wezel Performing Arts Hall, and the American Red Cross for accepting our invitation and showing up for our families.

And, of course, thank you to our amazing UnidosNow staff and volunteers who helped make the day possible!

✨FLAM Workshop #2 Recap | Saturday, July 25 ✨

Our FLAM students had an amazing day of learning, teamwork, and creativity! 💙

We started with a fun Two Truths and a Lie icebreaker before diving into study skills 📚 and leadership 🌟. Students also personalized their DreamStore notebooks 📓💰 and learned how to earn points throughout the year.

🐸🦊🦋👓To end the day, they teamed up for an exciting Origami Challenge, putting their communication and problem-solving skills to the test!

💫Thank you to all of our students for bringing such great energy and enthusiasm. We can't wait to see you at our next workshop!

Nuestros estudiantes de FLAM tuvieron un increíble día de aprendizaje, trabajo en equipo y creatividad! 💙

Comenzamos con una divertida actividad para romper el hielo, Dos Verdades y Una Mentira, antes de explorar temas sobre hábitos de estudio 📚 y liderazgo 🌟. Además, los estudiantes personalizaron sus cuadernos de DreamStore 📓💰 y aprendieron cómo ganar puntos durante todo el año.

We had a great day at Selby Gardens - Marie Selby Botanical Gardens!

Our students and families got to go on a wondrous trip thanks to Selby Gardens and My Garden Summer Boat Tour. We got to take a trip through and learn about our amazing bay and the plants and animals that live in it, even getting to see some up close! Following that, we walked around the Gardens, seeing some exhibits and getting to view some of the plants under a microscope.

All in all, it was a voyage that helped us explore and stay curious; thank you again to Selby Gardens for having us!
