🏠Ramada by Wyndham Sarasota Redevelopment Proposal

The request is to replace the existing main office, restaurant and banquet facilities with a new 45’ ht. building that will include a new 166 seat restaurant, offices and up to 35 new dwelling units.

Attached are the site plans and details for the neighborhood workshop meeting on May 21st at 6:00 PM. The pages are for the ground level, the second floor, and the third & fourth floors.

📏Edited to add- WBMA President spoke with the Senior Vice President of Airport Operations and Public Safety at SRQ. The proposed height of the Ramada Renovation is in compliance with their height restrictions.

Don't forget: the Bulk Collection Pilot Program begins tomorrow!

Starting this Friday, residential customers can place up to two bulk items at the curb once per month on their assigned, zoned service day. You can find your new monthly bulk collection day on the Resident Information Tool at mymanatee.org/bigbin.

Each property may also schedule one annual large-bulk collection of 10 cubic yards or less. Some items, including tires, appliances, and annual large-bulk collection, must be scheduled in advance through the Customer Self-Service Portal at mymanatee.org/css.

This program is for residential properties in Unincorporated Manatee County only and is at no extra cost for residents. Find your pickup day and get full program details at mymanatee.org/bigbin.

The Manatee County Commission has approved the launch of a Bulk Collection Pilot Program by Manatee County Utilities, beginning May 1, 2026, to expand curbside bulk pickup service for residents.

Under the pilot program, residential customers will be able to have two bulk items picked up at the curb on a predetermined, regularly scheduled service day once per month, for a total of 12 collections per year, with no rate changes at this time. The program will also include one annual bulk collection per property (of up to 10 cubic yards) of the same material. Certain items, including tires and white goods (appliances), as well as the annual large-bulk pickup, will require advance scheduling through the County’s Customer Self-Service Portal at mymanatee.org/css.
