🌊 Helping Our Smallest Neighbors

Low tide after a windy day in the Ten Thousand Islands always uncovers incredible treasures, but sometimes those treasures need a little helping hand! 🐚✨

We were so happy to assist this little Sea Urchin back to his deep-water home today. These "architects of the reef" are vital to our ecosystem, grazing on algae and keeping our local sea grasses healthy and balanced. 🌿🐢

At Gulf Coast Tours, LLC, their mission is "Education through Exploration." While we love the thrill of the hunt for a keeper shell, we love protecting our living marine life even more!

Pro-Tip for Beach Walkers: If you find a live creature stranded by the tide, always handle with care (those urchin spines are no joke!) and place them back in the water gently.

Our local shelling community is absolutely buzzing! 🐝🐚

One of our favorite local experts, Treasure Seekers Shell Tours, just reported a staggering FOUR Junonias found in a single morning! This is a "once-in-a-decade" kind of day in the Ten Thousand Islands.

This incredible run is a perfect example of how our unique ecosystem reacts to recent cold fronts. For our club members and local enthusiasts, this is a reminder of why we love these waters—the Gulf truly "rained treasure" today.

A huge congratulations to the lucky finders! This is a masterclass in why timing, tides, and local knowledge matter.
