Sarasota Locals! We still want your sneakers or athletic shoes! We are collecting unwanted sneakers during the month of May to raise money for our Sea Base 2027 trip. These sneakers will be cleaned up and sent to countries that need affordable sneakers through GotSneakers

This week we celebrated our Scouts' accomplishments at the last Court of Honor for the year! We recognized our Scouts and our Adult Leaders for their growth in skill, leadership and community service. We are looking forward to our summer and are so excited for Camp Shands and Northern Tier!

For 2026 crews attending ONLY the following adventures-- Fishing Adventure, Keys Adventure, and Out Island Adventure at the Brinton Environmental Center on Summerland Key:

Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) no longer offers the online purchase of fishing licenses needed for these programs. Our team now has a solution to ensure all program activities for the adventures above are maintained as planned!

1. Before you arrive to Sea Base, have each crew member age 16+ go to https://gooutdoorsflorida.com/ or use the FWC app and create an account, and fill out as much information as possible. Members will need their social security numbers available to do this

2. After you arrive to Sea Base, there will be a dedicated time for any participants aged 16+ to purchase their licenses in our onsite Ship Store.

3. After purchasing licenses in our Ship Store, the license will be uploaded to the individual’s account with FWC/gooutdoorsflorida.com.

ONLY Keys Adventure, Fishing Adventure, and Out Island Adventure participants age 16+ will need to create their FWC account ahead of arrival to ensure a quick and easy fishing license purchase in our Ship Store. An email notice was sent this morning to your primary reservation contact. (This notice does **not** apply to Keys Adventure Islamorada or Keys Adventure Sailing, or any other unlisted adventure type)

Are you local to Sarasota? Clean out your closet! Troop 2023 wants your old sneakers!!!

During the month of May, Troop 2023 is collecting old sneakers or athletic shoes to recycle! We are happy to accept adult and kids sneakers.

This is a GotSneakers fundraiser that will be used for Sea Base or other high adventure camps. Troop 2023 will receive funds for the donated sneakers based on their condition. Most of the sneakers will be cleaned up and sent overseas to countries that need affordable shoes, a few will stay here in the US and a few will be fully recycled.
