The opportunities you’re supporting were founded to give these individuals a chance to experience a life changing journey to adventure. I (Chase Pettey the founder) have been beyond blessed to interact, coach, and befriend many individuals with mental and physical exceptionalities. At first I thought I was the one helping them grow, build confidence, and take down barriers, but in all reality, I was growing, building confidence, and breaking down my own barriers. There is something freeing when being around pure happiness, pure excitement, pure adrenaline, or even pure sadness or anger. These individuals have faced more challenges than most of us do in a lifetime and I believe these challenges taught them at an early age how precious life is. They show us the power of vulnerability and loving full heartedly. My point is this, I don’t want to develop this vision just to help individuals with exceptionalities, I want to help all generations experience the power of expression, acceptance, helping others, giving, loving, and being a positive impact! This cause is life changing for everyone involved and the goal is to grow that involvement from all aspects. By selling these hats we give you, the consumer, the opportunity to help spread this message and to wear this sick adventure hat as a badge of honor! G**O gives back to help a wide range of participants with mental and physical exceptionalities. At G**O we focus on the potential of an individual and then we help them understand and see that potential within themselves through new adventurous activities. We want to educate you on the growth that can come from outdoor adventures. Findings suggest that outdoor education and wilderness programs can foster mental health in youths, young adults and spark a child like mentality in older generations. There have been hundreds of studies done to prove the growth that comes from new adventurous experiences. How do adventures help exactly? They take place in an unfamiliar natural physical environment, which helps a person disconnect from the daily routine allowing them the mental space to dissect their self-concept and identity. Adventures consist of challenging activities with authentic and clear consequences that usually involve cooperation with others. Successfully trying and/or succeeding challenging activities changes an individuals outlook and attitude towards what is possible within themselves. Most adventures take place in a small-group social setting which allows individuals to increase social skills and connect with others. This cause is successful because of the guides provided by ASC. These individuals are experienced, skilled instructors who ensure physical safety and emotional support during the program. This allows the individuals to learn new skills build trust within others, and changes their outlook when it comes to their competence. ADVENTURES OFFERED
