🚑 CPR for the Community – Free Training Opportunity! ❤️

The Michigan City Police Department is proud to offer two free Community CPR Training classes this year to help residents gain lifesaving skills.

🕗 8:30 AM – 12:30 PM
📍 MCPD Community Room

These classes provide hands-on training that can prepare you to respond during a cardiac emergency and potentially save a life. Community members interested in learning CPR are encouraged to attend.

We would also like to extend a special thank you to the Health Foundation of La Porte for their generous grant that allowed MCPD to purchase new CPR feedback manikins, helping us provide updated, high-quality training to our community.

Your support helps us continue to build a safer, more prepared community.

Beats for Bub, Colton Davis Foundation Inc. — what an indescribable gift you have blessed REFORM with.

Beats for Bub is a foundation in memory of a Son, Brother, Nephew, Grandson, Cousin, Friend, and Teammate. A beautiful human who physically fought for his life before going into cardiac arrest. An AED could have saved his life, along with proper oxygen, but neither were available. After suffering the tragic loss of Colton, they knew that what happened to him could not happen to anyone else. They fight to bring awareness to our communities and for the beautiful life that they lost.

I was applying for AED grants without any success… My team and I were outreach shopping, I kept jokingly (but seriously) saying “The Lord will provide”… That same night, we received a message that Beats for Bub wanted to donate an AED to us. Completely free.

If I know and believe one thing more than anything else, it is that the God I serve has everything I need, and He will provide it every single time when you move with a pure, obedient heart.

What an honor. Thank you, Beats for Bub, and thank You, Jesus.

REFORM sets the excellent standard and promises to keep it. Our instructors are and will always be CPR, AED, and First Aid certified.

Week 3: Empowering Hearts to Save Lives ❤️⚡

AEDs in More Public Places Mean More Lives Saved.

Sudden cardiac arrest can happen anywhere — on a field, in a gym, at school, or in your community. The key to survival? Immediate CPR and quick access to an AED.

SCAF is proud to share a nation-wide AED awareness campaign from our partners, ZOLL EMS and Fire and PulsePoint Foundation. As part of their Anything Can Happen. Anyone Can Help™. campaign, ZOLL has partnered with the PulsePoint Foundation to launch a national effort called Anyone Can Register. Together, they are rallying communities, advocates, and organizations like yours to help expand the National Emergency AED Registry (NEAR) so every AED in America is visible, locatable, and ready when seconds count.

The more AEDs that are registered and accessible in public spaces, the stronger our communities become — and the more lives we can save.

AEDs are already in place in offices, gyms, schools, malls, and event venues, but in a cardiac emergency, knowing where an accessible one is could be critical.

We're bringing together volunteers, AED owners, and manufacturers to expand the National AED Registry (NEAR), helping ensure AED locations nationwide are known and recommended during cardiac emergencies.
