Today, as we celebrate the Fourth of July, we are also holding space for a very special anniversary.

July 4th marks the passing of Sabbie, my beloved cat whose life and loss helped inspire the creation of Northern Adirondack Pet Fund. Sabbie’s passing reminds us how deeply our animals are woven into our families, our routines, and our hearts. It also reminds us how important it is for pet owners to have support when they are facing difficult moments with the animals they love.

Northern Adirondack Pet Fund exists because of that love. It exists for Sabbie, and for every pet whose life has changed the people around them.

As fireworks fill the sky tonight, we are thinking of the animals who may be frightened, the families keeping them safe, and all the beloved pets who live on in memory.

Wishing everyone a safe and peaceful Fourth of July. Please keep your pets indoors, secure, and comforted tonight.

Our "Pet Treats Fundraiser" is officially live from May 1 through May 14.
