Saranac Valley Housing is seeking a reliable, skilled, and self-motivated Maintenance Person to oversee the upkeep of our residential property and ensure a safe, comfortable living environment for our residents. This role offers unique schedule flexibility, allowing you to establish your own daily or weekly hours, provided you are available to handle seasonal demands and respond to property emergencies.

๐ ๐ด๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐: Safely and efficiently operate a tractor to perform comprehensive snow removal and ice management during the winter months, as well as lawn care, mowing, and landscaping during the summer months.
โข ๐จ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐ ๐น๐๐๐๐๐๐ & ๐ฎ๐๐๐๐๐๐ ๐ฏ๐๐๐
๐๐๐๐ ๐พ๐๐๐: Troubleshoot and perform a wide variety of routine repairs inside resident apartments, including basic plumbing, minor electrical fixes, carpentry, hardware replacements, appliance troubleshooting, and drywall patching.
โข ๐ท๐๐๐๐๐๐๐ ๐ฐ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐: Routinely inspect building interiors and exterior grounds to identify potential maintenance hazards or repair needs before they escalate.
โข ๐ฌ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐ ๐น๐๐๐๐๐๐๐: Maintain on-call readiness to respond quickly and effectively to urgent maintenance requests, property emergencies, or severe weather events outside of regular working hours.

โข Demonstrated experience operating a tractor and associated seasonal attachments (mower decks, snow blades).
โข Strong hands-on experience in residential property maintenance, apartment turnarounds, or general handy work.
โข Ability to work autonomously, manage your own schedule, and prioritize daily tasks effectively.
โข Reliable transportation and a dependable method of communication for emergency call-outs.
โข A friendly, professional demeanor when interacting with residents and community management.
Compensation & Work Schedule

โข On-Call Availability Required: Must be accessible for emergency situations that require immediate on-site attention.
โข Pay Rate: Starting at $21 but could be more based on experience (to be discussed during interview).
