As school baseball winds down, registration is open for the second season of the Adirondack Rangers Baseball Club, our summer skill-building/development program for ages 13-17!! ⚾️

Open to kids across the Tri-Lakes region, the Adirondack Rangers is for players who have aged out of traditional 12U (majors) youth baseball, have finished their school baseball season, and/or are not participating in a select, travel, or summer team (although those players are welcome to register and participate as their schedule allows).

The program will begin in mid-June and run until mid-August, with practices on Tuesday evenings and Saturday mornings. We will also play a handful of games. Cost is $75 per player. PLEASE REGISTER AS SOON AS POSSIBLE SO WE CAN ORDER JERSEYS AND PLAN FOR THE SEASON.

What an incredible Memorial Day! We had a great turnout for the parade, and an amazing time at Rotary Field where we held the 13th Annual Red Wilcox Memorial Day Classic: two baseball games, a cookout, and more. Thank you to all our volunteers, coaches, parents and kids for making this day so wonderful. Special thanks to the Wilcox family for taking part and honoring Red with a ceremonial first pitch. Great day!

Good morning and happy Memorial Day! Just a quick reminder that the parade lineup is at the firehouse this year. Please meet there by 10:15.

Our Memorial Day classic events are still scheduled to take place on time, despite this light rain. Thanks to everyone who’s signed up to bring food. Can’t wait to see everyone!

PARADE and UNIFORM UPDATE: The parade lineup location has been changed to behind the SLVFD. Please have kids there by 10:15.

We will hand out shirts and hats for all Rookie and T-Ball teams, except for one T-ball team whose shirts haven’t arrived yet (🤦🏻‍♂️).

Unfortunately our majors and minors softball and baseball jerseys and hats have not arrived yet (except for softball visors) so coaches will be communicating on SportsEngine about what color shirts to wear. Apologies for this.

13th Annual Red Wilcox Memorial Day Classic: SLYBSA will be hosting a pair of scrimmages at Rotary Field on Monday, post parade, as part of this annual event. Our minors baseball teams will square off at 1 pm, followed by our majors baseball teams at 3 pm. We will also set up our Wiffle Ball field and have a cookout. Bring the whole family!
