Our Story
The Saranac Lake Interfaith Food Pantry has served Saranac Lake since 1975. We are located at the corner of Church Street and Bloomingdale Avenue (across the street from Stewarts). Our mission is to provide those in need with an emergency supply of food. We serve residents of the Saranac Lake Central School District, including neighbors who work but are unable to meet their needs, those who experience short-term crisis, and those who receive public assistance. An emergency box (3-day supply of food per person) is provided once a month. Surplus items like bread, yogurt, and fresh produce may be gleaned weekly. The pantry is open every Saturday morning from 10 AM until noon. Food is also available in emergencies through the help of volunteers who may be contacted by telephone.
