Today our CASA family lost one of our own. Dean Wise started his journey with CASA in 2006 when he became a volunteer. He later served as Chairman of our Advisory Board. He dressed up like Santa for our yearly events with Ovations more times than we can count. He’s spent many hours working on our CASA playhouses and parade floats. He was such a blessing to everyone who knew him. He was always helping others through volunteering or through his job. He sold many raffle tickets for our quilt fundraiser and ended up being the winner. If you ask us though, we are all winners for getting to know him. At every advisory meeting, we were blessed to hear lots of stories and sometimes were amazed and sometimes we couldn't stop laughing. We will not be the same without him. Please keep his family and friends in your thoughts and prayers. ❤️❤️❤️

Please join us in thanking Charlotte Berryhill for serving as a CASA Volunteer for 20 YEARS! She has closed out her last case and is moving on from CASA. Over the years she has served on numerous cases and advocated for more kiddos than we can count. She is certainly one of a kind and we are going to miss her terribly. We want to wish her all the best as she focuses on herself and her family. THANK YOU CHARLOTTE!

About Last Night.... We gathered with volunteers and family last night to show our appreciation for everything they do as CASA volunteers. We had wonderful food catered in by For Such a Time Catering, we had laughs and raffle winners and the only thing missing was those who couldn't make it. We appreciate each and every one of the volunteers and the time and effort they put in to advocating for the kids in Creek & Okmulgee Counties. If you see one of them, give them a pat on the back. They deserve that and so much more! If you've ever thought about being a CASA yourself, maybe now is the time. Our next training class starts September 15th.

Did you know that for just a few hours a month, you can advocate for a child in foster care? Kids with CASA volunteers receive more services they need, are more likely to graduate high school and less likely to come back into the system. Email or call us and we can answer all your questions. We hope to see you in the next training which starts on September 15th.

Yesterday we got another little boy adopted and in is forever home. This family has had him since he was an infant and are finally his official parents. Shelley loves going to visit this home and this family. She's been advocating for him the whole time. Join us in wishing them a big CONGRATULATIONS!

One more happy family on adoption day. Schlone advocated for these 3 boys for 2-1/2 years and earlier this week got to witness them achieve permanency. Being a CASA volunteer is rewarding in more ways than one. We can't wait to see the future these boys have ahead of them.
